About the Author

Vince Rogers grew up in the backwoods of Missouri, where summer nights were spent chasing fireflies, telling ghost stories, and watching Scooby-Doo reruns on a flickering box TV. That blend of rural quiet and cartoon mystery left a mark — one that still echoes in the stories he tells today.

Vince writes horror that’s rooted in real emotions and everyday places — stories where grief, fear, and family collide, and where monsters sometimes hide in plain sight. His work includes the short stories Recluse and Harold’s Piano, the novellas Terror Zone and The Corpse in the Cold Room, and the upcoming children’s picture book Something’s in the Basement.

He now lives in Ozark, Missouri with his wife, two kids, and a furry black cat named Edgar. When he’s not writing, you can find him exploring back roads, building forts with his kids, or watching the shadows stretch across his backyard just a little too long.
